DECLARAÇÃO INTERNACIONAL DOS ROTEIRISTAS
No novo mundo digitalizado e globalizado, nós roteiristas nos reunimos hoje, em Atenas, na Grécia, para discutir o nosso papel central na criação das histórias que são realizadas com tal impacto para miríades de telas no mundo, e para as mentes e os corações das pessoas.
Histórias influenciam nosso comportamento e moldam nossa cultura. Elas nos ajudam a entender. As histórias conquistam o medo. Histórias têm poder. Como roteiristas, os contadores de histórias do nosso tempo, estamos conscientes do nosso papel e nossa responsabilidade e nos encontramos para se certificar de que possamos continuar nosso trabalho no novo ambiente.
Os desafios criativos e financeiros que enfrentamos, só poderá ser atingido se juntarmos forças e trabalharmos juntos. Insistimos na capacidade individual de cada um dos vinte e cinco mil roteiristas, cujos representantes estão reunidos aqui, para ver e compreender o mundo à sua maneira, e de modo a refletir suas perspectivas únicas nas histórias. Nós exultamos no conhecimento de que a criatividade individual é o que nos une para defender e fazer valer os nossos direitos e objetivos comuns.
Nós endossamos as ambições e as intenções da Carta da FSE, a Carta da IAWG e o Manifesto dos Argumentistas Europeus.
Exigimos que o direito de roteiristas de toda parte de serem reconhecidos como um dos autores da obra audiovisual que escreveram, e de serem razoavelmente compensados por cada utilização do seu trabalho.
Na busca destes objetivos nos dedicaremos a colaborar ativamente em campanhas que visam atingir nossas metas comuns.
Nós nos comprometemos a trabalhar juntos para defender e ampliar os direitos de quem escreve para a tela.

WORLD SCREENWRITERS DECLARATION
In the new digitised and globalised world, we screenwriters have today come together, in Athens Greece, to discuss our central role in the creation of the stories that are carried with such impact to the world’s myriad screens and to people’s minds and hearts.
Stories influence our behaviour and shape our culture. They help us understand. Stories can conquer fear. Stories have power. As screenwriters, the storytellers of our time, we are conscious of our role and our responsibility and we have met to make sure that we can continue our work in the new environment.
The creative and financial challenges which we face, can only be met if we join forces and work together. We insist on the individual capacity of every one of the twenty five thousand screenwriters, whose representatives are gathered here, to see and understand the world in their own way and to reflect that unique perspective in their stories. We exult in the knowledge that individual creativity is what brings us together to defend and assert our common rights and goals.
We endorse the ambitions and intentions of the Charter of the FSE, the Charter of the IAWG and the Manifesto of the European Screenwriters.
We demand the right of screenwriters everywhere to be acknowledged as an author of the audiovisual work which they have written and to be fairly compensated for each and every use made of their work.
In pursuit of these objectives we will engage in active collaboration on campaigns that seek to achieve our common goals.
We pledge to work together to defend and extend the rights of writers for the screen.
